1 package chocolate cake mix (I like to use a chocolate fudge cake mix)
1 package instant chocolate pudding mix
18 small candy canes, crushed
Chocolate chips (flavor dependent on your preference (I like the milk chocolate), about 1 cup
1 container Cool Whip whipped topping, thawed
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix the chocolate cake mix according to decorations.
Mix in the chocolate pudding mix.
Fold in about 1/2 a cup of the crushed candy canes and chocolate chips. Do not over-mix.
Pour cake batter into cake pans and bake according to box decorations, 35 to 40 minutes.
Frosh with Cool whip.
Garnish with remaining crushed candy canes.
It is a very pretty cake and quite a delicious cake as well.
