Finally felt balanced enough to finish organizing my blue desk. It's so wonderful with its little cubbie-holes.
Although one of my favorite things is the canvas art that is laying flat so you cannot read it so well. "Let It Go (permission granted) and be gentle on yourself." I read that to myself as a daily reminder.
So many little trinkets and doo-dads, things as far as back as a green-and-white dressed Cabbage Patch Kid figurine I have had since I was a little girl at West End Elementary School in Rome, Georgia, to a little Yoda figurine that was my brother's, to my Matthew's favorite blue pacifier when he was alive, to sea urchins we have found here on the island. Everything was placed here because it holds importance to me.
It's my own little little treasure trove, and I just close the flip-down shelf and it all disappears from view and is nice and safe until I return! (Safe from prying little kitten paws and noisy little puppy noses!)
