With the approaching holiday season and the fall cleaning, I find myself slightly overwhelmed as I discover more and more crafting projects. It probably doesn't help that I recently discovered the greatness of Goodwill stores, so they are all shiny and new to me. Do you know how easy it is to find craft projects there? Things that just need a little bit of love and attention...maybe a little bit of paint...or just to be used in a totally different idea.
This is one of today's projects. Last night I found these wonderful candle holders. They are little lighthouses. The sides are even wonderfully detailed with birds in flight and crashing waves and different-colored cobbled stones. The taper candles are plain unscented white candles but of course (I am Chelle, after all) I sprayed them with iridescent spray glitter to add a little bit of sparkle. I can't wait until the candles dry enough that I can display them in the lighthouse holders to see just how awesome they look. Those candle holders were a great find at Goodwill, only 99 cents for the pair. The taper candes and glitter spray I had left over from a previous craft project. So, overall, a cheap addition to my Corner but a wonderful one!
