I absolutely adore these crisp autumn mornings we have been enjoying in the Northeast. It is probably my favorite time of the year. Don’t get me wrong. I love Christmas. I love snow. And for different reasons, I love hearing that first tree frog in the spring, seeing that first bright yellow buttercup or that first smell of honeysuckles. But I think I have always been a Child of Fall. The changing leaves just call to me every year. And to think, if I live 100 years, I will only see the leaves change 100 times…just makes me sad. That’s not enough times! Autumn is favorite blue jeans and big, comfy jackets. Autumn is cold hands wrapped around steaming cups of hot chocolate. Autumn is high school football games, county fairs and competitions. Autumn is pumpkin patches, corn mazes and hay rides with my boys.
So, even though some days I go to sleep already behind on the next day’s to-do list, I decided to participate in the 31-Day Blogging Challenge for October. November is NaNoWriMo so the next 2 months should be really fun! I hope ya’ll find something of interest on my blog this month. Having the form of OCD that I have, I planned out a 31-day outline and I have ideas for recipes, holiday planning, photos from my recent wedding, crafting ideas, and even some poetry and possible book excerpts.
See ya’ll again tomorrow!
